Description
There are many situations in which flexibility and mobility are very important – none more so than when it comes to rescuing or securing people. Fall protection and mobile load lifting can be achieved quickly and easily using a robust tripod. Because of its three-legged design, a tripod is inherently more stable than stands with four outriggers. Thanks to its compact design, this safety device can also be folded up like any other tripod and transported with minimal space requirements.
Tripod with a comprehensive set of features
Lightweight and compact design with very high stability and performance: These features characterise both the ECO II Tripod and the PRO II Tripod from Martin PSA. While the ECO II is designed as a fixed version, the PRO II is equipped as a mobile tripod on castors. This is a great advantage in certain areas of application. What both designs have in common is conformity with the EN 795 standard and the TS 16415 specification. Both models are also TÜV certified. A tripod of this type is suitable both for securing and rescuing people and as a lifting device and can be loaded with up to 500 kg. The tripods are compatible and suitable for use with height safety and rescue hoist (HSRG). Both the HSRG and the load winch are particularly user-friendly thanks to the universal Easy bracket, which comes as standard. Although very stable and robust in design, the ECO II and PRO II both fold to an impressively compact size. Their low weight is also surprising in this performance class. An integrated pulley anti-jamming device and optimised rope guide prevent the rope from jamming or escaping. In the case of the PRO II, which is equipped with practical castors, one wheel can be steered via a drawbar, which makes manoeuvring with a load attached much easier.
Areas of application of the tripod
Thanks to its design and reinforced, warp-resistant profiles, a tripod from our company is ideal for securing individuals when descending into shafts and for rescuing and recovering casualties. Wherever other stationary or mobile devices for attaching fall arresters are out of the question, its compact dimensions mean a tripod is almost always a viable option. Even under the most difficult spatial conditions, the safety device can be moved to the desired location and set up in a stable position.
Many service companies also rely on a tripod in routine operations: As a complete mobile system, it also simplifies the lifting of loads such as manhole covers. In the case of the PRO II tripod, the castors also make it easy to transport the load. The same applies to the rescue and careful placement of people when they have been rescued from a shaft. The mobile PRO II is easy to control and can evacuate injured persons quickly and safely from the danger zone. The ECO II and PRO II tripods are approved for two people and a maximum load of up to 500 kg. Both devices also have an integrated load pressure brake that can hold a suspended load from a minimum weight of 25 kg in any position.
