Stuttgart Airport is the international airport of Stuttgart, the state capital of Baden-Württemberg. The first facilities were built in 1936 and expanded to their current state between 1986 and 2004.

With almost 10 million passengers in 2025, Stuttgart Airport ranks among the top 8 largest airports in Germany. With 230 km of water supply and wastewater disposal pipelines, Stuttgart Airport operates an enormous infrastructure that is highly system-critical and, in part, requires employees to work in confined spaces.

The partnership between Stuttgart Airport and Lechtaler GmbH does exist for many years. Together, we have developed solutions with skilled technicians and health and safety specialists, tested them on-site in practice, and carried out corresponding training exercises.
