Description
When it comes to safety in the workplace, nothing should be left to chance. This is especially true for fall protection and rescue equipment to minimise the risk of serious and life-threatening accidents. For this purpose, we would like to recommend our fall arrester (height access and rescue device) . Type-tested by TÜV in accordance with EN 360 and 1496 B, it is used in combination with a body harness and tripod, power arm or other anchor points in accordance with EN 795 and CEN/TS 16415 for effective personal safety, but also for rescuing and recovering casualties.
The special surface treatment ensures maximum protection against corrosion. It takes just a few seconds to install – simply insert the bolt into the adapter and secure in place. The modern planetary drive ensures rapid lifting and lowering while the ergonomic housing boasts well-thought-out and sophisticated additional features. Of course, LECHTALER can also supply you with the appropriate equipment case to conveniently store or transport the height safety and rescue lifting device.
Another highlight is the anti-twist swivel hook, which ensures that the rope cannot twist. The fall arrester is equipped with two chambers: One contains the rope, while the other features an additional seal and contains the sensitive parts such as the rescue lifting device and the fall brake. The weight depends on the length of the rope: with a 10 m rope it is 9.85 kg, with a 20 m rope it is 17.35 kg and with a 30 m rope it is 18.95 kg.
"Easy" secure height safety and rescue hoist
Thanks to the specially developed innovative “Easy” bracket made of stainless steel, our height safety and rescue hoist is very quick and easy to fit to the attachment (tripod or cantilever arm, anchor point in accordance with EN 795 B and CEN TS 16415) and allows individual adjustment – for maximum safety and ease of use.
Areas of application of the system
The fall arrester is designed for two different applications. One of these is the tripod, to which the height access and rescue device is attached for securing or rescuing people. This combination also makes it easy to remove obstacles such as manhole covers or pumps. Thanks to the new design, the device harmonises perfectly with the cable pulls described above. These are latched and fixed on the outside, with a maximum permissible load capacity of 500 kg. The profiles are torsion-resistant and the telescopic legs can be adjusted to the correct length, allowing greater working heights. Moreover, maintenance and spare parts costs have been reduced compared to previous models. The range also features a matching carry bag.
The second area of application is the height-adjustable, swivel-mounted cantilever arm, which is usually mounted on brackets that are fixed to the ground (wall or floor mounting). In this combination, the height access and rescue device is primarily used for rescue operations or for preventive fall protection when working at great heights. Our cantilever arm is also type-tested by TÜV Süd in accordance with EN 795 B and CEN TS 16415; the maximum load capacity of the cantilever arm is also 500 kg.
